The worlds Terry Pratchett creates in his writing are surreal, fun, and definitely irreverent. His satires take on all the major topics: science, religion, bureaucracies, philosophy, and of course, death.
His book, Thief of Time, was more than wickedly witty reading, it was a playful look at the serious topic of our point of power: this eternal moment, Now.
Just for fun, I thought I would alternate Terry Pratchett with two of my favorite metaphysical teachers: Abraham-Hicks and Bashar.
The first words read by seekers of enlightenment in the secret, gong-banging, yeti-haunted valleys near the hub of the world are read when they look into the Life of Wen the Eternally Surprised.
The first question they ask is: "Why was he eternally surprised?"
And they are told: "Wen considered the nature of time and understood that the Universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. Therefore, he understood, there is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. Therefore, he said, the only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it."
Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time, p. 24.
New desire is what summons the Source and carries what is now into the future experience. But the thing that's tricky about the future experience is that the future never gets here, because the moment that it approaches -- it becomes now. Tomorrow never comes because when it gets here, it's today.
Abraham-Hicks, 10/2/04
There is actually only one moment in Creation. Everything you experience is the same moment from a different point of view. You create the past and the future from the here and now. You are an eternal being and while you may change your form, you cannot cease to exist.
Bashar, denial, separation, and projection YouTube.
"Think like this," he said at last. "Think of everything. It's an everyday word. But 'everything' means...everything. It's a much bigger word than 'universe." And everything contains all possible things that can happen at all possible times in all possible worlds. Don't look for complete solutions in any one of them. Sooner or later, everything causes everything else."
Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time, p. 293.
All possible "versions" of your reality already exist. In fact, they are all here - right under your nose - right Here, right Now. However, most of these "versions" are invisible to us, and they become "visible" only when we "tune" ourselves (via our beliefs), to be compatible and resonant with the frequencies of any one particular "version"....
Misconception: "Seeing is Believing" (What we perceive determines what we believe.)
The Actuality: "Believing is Seeing" (What we believe determines what we perceive!)
As an analogy: A TV set does not "create" the program it's displaying. It just "selects" it and "allows it in"....
All possible version of reality already all exist!(When they say God is Infinite, they're not kidding.)
Bashar, Blueprint for reality on Iasos.com
The Universe has 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 or 100 or a thousand options lined up to accommodate you and what you want. You just have to get in the vortex. You have to tell the story of what you want until you do not have a vibrational difference between the story that you are offering and the story of what's in the vortex.
Abraham-Hicks, Denver, CO, July 12, 2008, Track 5
[In the eternally perfect moment in the garden:]
"You know, that's why I've never liked philosophers," she said. "They make it all sound so grand and simple, and then you step out into a world that's full of complications. I mean, look around. I bet this garden needs regular weeding, and the fountains have to be unblocked, and the peacocks shed feathers and dig up the lawn...and if they don't do it, then this is just a fake."
"No, everything is real," said Wen. "At least, it is as real as anything else. But this is a perfect moment." He smiled at Susan again. "Against one perfect moment, the centuries beat in vain."
Terry Pratchett, Thief of Time, p. 294.
Once you give up your fear of death and you accept your immortality, and you understand that you will never cease to be and that there will always be a powerful Now and the consciousness that is you will never end. And that it cannot turn out anything but wonderful. Then maybe you will relax and say, "There is nothing very important going on here. There is only an entire universe that has been established to point me toward a moment in time where I might experience some joy."
That's what it is all about.
Abraham-Hicks, Kansas City, MO, September 17, 2003
...just continue your life, and let everything fall into place.... You don't have to worry about it now.... As you say, "Sufficient unto the day is the light therein." Be who you are now. You don't have to worry about who you're going to be.
Bashar

You've been thinking good thoughts -- so how did THIS happen?!!
When we do the work to deliberately choose good feeling thoughts, there are still experiences that happen that we don't like. Deliberate Creating is the blog where I discuss techniques and my experiences in working to alignment.
This is my blog of speculation and I do have some thoughts about how it happens. For example:
Imagine yourself running one mile, and in this mile there are 2,000 doors to move through. Imagine coming to each door and then having to personally open it before you can run through it. Now imagine running the mile, and as you approach each door, the door is opened for you, so you are able to continue the pace, slowing not at all upon approaching each door. When you are in alignment with the energy that creates worlds, you no longer have to stop and open the doors. Your energy alignment allows things to line up for you, and the action that you offer is the way you enjoy the benefit of the alignment you have accomplished.
Abraham-Hicks, Money, and the Law of Attraction, p. 196
When I read this I get an image of us flowing in that fast stream of Well-Being. We're doing our work to change our thinking. We're looking at things we appreciate. We're going at a faster and faster pace and the doors are open, but there is some resistance that has been humming along with us. Irritation at a relative, co-worker, or mate. Grumping every day about traffic. Being peeved about politics. Maybe it's not very loud, but it's there and we finally get to a door that's not completely open and run into it -- and something happens.
The problem isn't that we feel irritation at a co-worker or peeved at politics. The problem is that instead of paying attention to the negative feeling and changing to better-feeling thoughts, we become used to that low buzz of negativity and it becomes background noise -- until we lose our wallet or take a wrong turn because we ignored our inner prompting.
When we use "running into the door" to clarify what we want and do the work to come into alignment, the situation clears up pretty quickly. The stream of Well-Being is the only stream there is so there is plenty to appreciate in the situation. Loving and accepting ourselves is a part of learning to deliberately create so we learn to love ourselves a little bit more. The love of self warms us leaving us softer and more open to the love of others.
Something that happens to me is that I have a much greater appreciation of how important it is to feel good. I decide that whatever was bugging me before isn't worth THIS experience! Resistance softens like ice melting from the trees after a winter storm -- allowing new growth and perspectives -- and I go on to new desires, new experiences and new doors opening.
There is another side to that situation to keep in mind: This physical experience is neutral -- we are the ones that assign the labels good or bad.
There are people that met their soul mate when they were stuck in a long line together or missed their flight and got to talking in the waiting area. I know of one couple that met when they ran into each others' cars at an intersection. It can work the same with money or any other thing that we consider "good."
Half the time, or better than half the time, when you think you've taken a wrong turn, a door opens that is a better door. It’s a new door you didn't have access to before, because you were so oriented in the other direction. The majority of things you are beating yourself up about are things that are being answered by the Universe!
Abraham-Hicks, 10-10-99
Every experience ... everything we see ... everything we do ... is an opportunity to expand into greater Well-Being.
It's all good.

How creating happens: my view as a deliberate creator
The whole deliberate creating process feels more real to me when I have an understanding of the non-physical part of manifesting. It helps me allow the Universe to take care of the part that is It's business, manifesting, and helps me focus on my business, keeping in alignment with well-being.
In my first physics class in high school I learned that energy was constantly manifesting into form and back into energy. I had the idea then that was God creating the atoms and molecules -- the stuff that I saw.
I was really excited when I read about String Theory which says that all matter is the result of vibrating strings of energy -- that there is only this energy and that the different ways the strings vibrate gives a particle its characteristics. Abraham gives us guidance on how to attune our vibration through our thoughts. I had a clearer picture then of how my vibration attuned to the vibrating energy of what I wanted to draw into my experience.
I add that to the information I've learned from Abraham-Hicks and Bashar:
Everything has reality. That’s why you said, "I will come forth into this physical experience. Whatever perspective I will hold, reality will actualize around.”
Abraham-Hicks, Phoenix, AZ, 2/19/00
All possible "versions" of your reality already exist. In fact, they are all here - right under your nose - right Here, right Now. However, most of these "versions" are invisible to us, and they become "visible" only when we "tune" ourselves (via our beliefs), to be compatible and resonant with the frequencies of any one particular "version".
As an analogy, if your computer screen offers you many choices, and all you have to do is click on one of them to select it, then your imagination is the total of all the available choices on the screen. Moving the mouse to the desired choice is like focusing your imagination on one particular vision. And then clicking on that choice is like using your feelings to activate your selection.
Misconception: "Seeing is Believing" (What we perceive determines what we believe.)
The Actuality: "Believing is Seeing" (What we believe determines what we perceive!)
~Bashar
I have a much clearer picture of my role as a deliberate thinker and how that creates my reality. I don't have to make things happen -- the Universe has already taken care of the creating. It helps me not take "what is" too seriously. "What is" is just a platform that helps me clarify my desires and practice my deliberate thinking. I know I'll get there and, even better, I know how to enjoy the journey.
I've discovered that the good feelings are mine in an instant when I choose thoughts that feel good. And, oh boy, that makes the manifesting so much more fun. There's no pressure, no need to be concerned. It's all taken care of for me.

Abraham-Hicks - A new perspective for me re: emotions and our Inner Being
Abraham tells us that our emotions are communication from our Inner Being; it is our guidance system telling us when we are in alignment or not with our intentions. I've been reading and working with this key piece of their information from the beginning -- almost five years now.
I was so surprised then when I recently got a new perspective from the Abraham-Hicks' book, A New Beginning I:
Your emotions are not from your physical world. They come forth from the inner world and are directly communicated to you from your Inner Being. (p. 15)
I always thought emotions were energy so that makes sense. It's just that I also thought my emotions were "me." I used to feel like I lived in my emotions. They were what made life enjoyable and interesting and were the aliveness that was "me" having this experience. When Abraham said that emotions were communication from my Inner Being, I still thought they came from me in my physical experience. I thought of myself as a tuning fork and my Inner Being would communicate vibrations in a way that I perceived and interpreted as those feelings.
Even though I understood negative emotions as communication I still didn't like them. I used exercises and techniques to change them to something better. There was always an underlying thought of trying to get rid of the negative feelings.
Now I have a new perspective and a softening in resistance to my own feelings. I love the idea that the Me that is my Inner Being is so much a comfortable and known part of my physical experience. I feel this tremendous and loving feeling of partnership and welcome this emotional communication joyfully.
The work I've been doing this year has been fine-tuning my understanding of deliberate creating and now I feel like I can really get on board with it. Now there is such a playful feeling in thinking of having a negative emotion as if a beloved friend is talking to me. No harm done. No problem because I feel it. It's just my dear Friend talking to me.
There is much relief in this perspective which makes the thought of exploring new things even more fun.
...and the journey continues.

Welcome...Velkommen...Bienvenue...Fàilte
My name is Suzanne and I want to welcome you to walk with me awhile on my path as a deliberate creator.
I've been exploring the Abraham-Hicks information about deliberate reality creation for almost five years now. My blog, Finding My Way to Well-being, was about learning to understand and live these ideas. I was complete with the energy of that part of my path last fall and had been posting very irregularly. I've been in a transition phase where change was happening so rapidly I couldn't, and didn't even want to, stop and write about it.
I'm in this great place now...
...not where it's all done
...not where I know everything
...just a place where I am comfortable with these ideas and pretty darned happy to know that I create my own reality by choosing my thoughts. I'm beginning to get the feel of the joyful power of deliberately creating my life experiences.
I'm ready to play!
You are invited to join me at:
Deliberate Creating - My intention for this blog is to post insights and techniques I discover as I choose to create deliberately.
The Creation Box - I get this rush of energy when I think of this one and am really looking forward to it. My intention is to post appreciation and to be a part of the wonderful, magical manifestations in the world.
The Universe, reality and everything. Abraham talks of leading edge exploration. So, this will be my own leading edge where I think out loud about my own ideas of...well...anything to do with reality and being a non-physical being having a physical experience.
I'm having great fun with all of this and I can see much more in store.
Life really is an adventure.
With much love,
Suzanne
